Welcome!

This is my first blog entry. My name is Forest Webb. I began playing wargames in the late 1970's after being introduced to them by a neighbor who had a copy of a Strategy and Tactics magazine game called Cobra. Shortly thereafter I acquired the 1977 version of Gettysburg and Squad Leader from Avalon Hill.

Over the years I have played many different wargames. For a time I was involved in the development of War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition by Matrix Games. If you look closely you can find my name in the credits of the manual. In addition I have participated as a playtester of a number of Operational Combat Series games by MMP.

In the late 1980s I attended Penn State University and graduated in 1990. Shortly thereafter I was employed by the Federal Government and spent the next 27 or so years working in Federal Law Enforcement. I retired a few years ago and became a house husband.

After my retirement my wife started her own business - the Glass Turtle Studio. She works with stained and fused glass. I've supported her business and occassionally did some original work myself. Last year in support of her business we acquire

d a 3 in 1 Laser Cutter, 3d printer, CNC router. We combined a number of wood cutouts to her stained glass to create some interesting pieces of art.

After creating a number of pieces with her, I started to look at building wargmae accessories such as dice towers and counter trays. My wife suggested that I should sell them, so I assembled a few and showed them to my family and friends. Lo and behold people were interested and bought them. So I've assembled a bunch more and plan on taking them to various wargame conventions around the country... my first one will be at MMP's Winter Offensive in Bowie, MD.
